FMoT: The FileMaker of Things
We’re presenting an intriguing topic at the FileMaker Developer’s Conference this year. We’re calling it “FMoT: The FileMaker of Things”
The title is a play on “The Internet of Things”. We’ll be talking about integrating FIleMaker with the Internet of Things and with web services.
This is the first time presenting a regular session there. I’m super-excited. We did a vendor session last year, and we’ll be doing one again this year. But this is different because we get to talk about something outside our ordinary purview.
We thought it would be fun to use this space while we’re preparing our session to talk about some of the tips and techniques we’ll be using, along with some hardware we’ve been playing with.

Ken d’OronzioSession DescriptionPlug your custom app into the power of the Internet! It’s easier than you might think to connect your custom app to the ever-growing network of connected devices and services in the Internet of Things. By engaging automation tools such as Zapier.com and IFTTT.com, we will set up a gateway app on the FileMaker Platform, implementing automation routines that trigger events in other web software and web-connected devices. |
